When running at Watkins Glen, we all meet up and stay at the infamous Seneca Lodge.
Here are 4 of the F-Bodies and 5 of the Corvettes that've come from the MD/VA area
and the NH/MA area to join up for the fun and camaraderie of a two day event.
Track Note:
Watkins Glen is just pure fun, and
the most historical. The full course
is a 3.5 mile circuit that has
elevation changes of over 100' in 2
different places, and the 'Blue
Hedges' (guardrail) that have
intimidated drivers for decades.
We all came together on the road heading up to Watkins Glen. May '03
A wet track day at Watkins Glen where Dan is headed down the front
straight in his old Z06, on his way to triple digit numbers.
Here's John going thru the 'Bus Stop' at
about 70. Notice the tire patch, right to left.
<- PF Flyer headed thru the 'Bus Stop' back in '03.
Track Note:
Mid-Ohio is a very technical
track. It has many abrupt elevation
changes and 'Off Camber' turns
that all lead to ever changing
handling characteristics of the car.
This track has been home to the
SCCA Runoffs for a number of
years.
It's not always perfect weather. This was at Mid-Ohio this past
April, 04. The following day it called for snow showers.

Lo-Cash Racing was started at the beginning of 2003, after several of us, enthusiasts,
actively got together and started to seriously participate, as a group, in 'High Performance
Driving Events' (HPDE) with the National Auto Sports Association (NASA), Mid Atlantic Region.
We soon realized our addiction to the speed and adrenaline levels that came with driving on
some of the most prestigious road courses in the world. Watkins Glen, Lime Rock, Mid-Ohio
just to name a few. We also run at Summit Point, VIR, Pocono, CMP and NHIS.
Not having the big budget of funded teams, we learned how to make due with what we have,
whether it's our time, sharing parts or our garages for doing modifications and upgrades or
saving money for 'seat time'. Ultimately that's how we came up with the epithet for our group.
We've gone from a group of excited enthusiasts to focused participants. Several members run
in the Advanced group, a few are at the top of the Intermediate group and our Novice students
will be well into the next group by the end of the '05 season.
As for me, after a couple of open track days with Bill Scott Racing (BSR) at Summit Pt, at the
end of 1999, with my then new Camaro SS and being a member of the NASA-Va region since
March of 2000, I have advanced up thru the ranks and I am currently a Certified Instructor in the
Hi-Performance Driving Instructor program with NASA-MA. I've had the pleasure of riding with
and instructing several members here. I've also instructed for NASA-NE, NASA-OH and SCDA.
You'll find most of these members frequenting several of the popular message boards out
there today. Such as the F-Body Road Racing and Autocross Forums, the SSOA Forums, the
Corvette Forum, LS1TECH Forums and the LSX Syndicate (new). Stop in and say hello.
